Our annual Spring Fundraiser is a tradition at Temple Shalom to help us raise the necessary funds to ensure a vibrant and secure future for our Temple family. As you know, we’ve had to adapt how we come together as a congregation this past year due to the pandemic. So this year we wanted to try a new way to join together as an active and vibrant Jewish community, have fun, and give generously to the Temple.
We offer a fundraiser in two acts. The first is a series of challenges where congregants, friends and family can participate individually or in smaller groups with health and safety in mind. The challenge teams we offer are listed below. For more details or to sign-up for a team, click on the RSVP button for each event. Or, if you prefer, email or call the team captain. If you don’t wish to participate in any of the challenges, please sponsor one or more! See below for details.
The second act, our Grand Finale, will be held virtually on Sunday, June 6th starting at 7PM. The Grand Finale with feature drinks, entertainment and video montage. See below for more details.
Temple Shalom also welcomes Adath Shalom in joining us in this fundraiser. All Adath Shalom members and their families are welcome to join our teams and our Grand Finale.
This is a fundraiser! We offer you two opportunities to donate. First, you can sponsor one or more teams. An additional opportunity is to contribute during our June 6th, 2021 Spring into the Future Grand Finale event. The finale will offer entertainment, a video montage showing highlights of the team activities, and our traditional Spring appeal for donations.
To sponsor a team, click on the Donate button, choose your amount and pay through PayPal or by check. By sponsoring a team, you are letting your congregation know that you support our community. Please give to your Temple generously; your contribution matters!
OUR GRAND FINALE
The second act, our Grand Finale, will be held virtually on Sunday, June 6th starting at 7 PM. We are still finalizing the details, and we hope for some exciting announcements shortly about the program. Our program for the evening will be hosted by Steve Marshall, a comedian who has been featured on Raging Jews of Comedy Tour, and has performed on CBS News, CNBC, CBS's The Late Show, and TBS's Conan and will also feature:
-
A mixologist who will demonstrate his skill and teach us how make selected cocktails. We’ll publish what you’ll need to have on hand before the event so you can be ready with your mise en place!
-
A video montage highlight pictures and videos from each team
-
A congregation appeal for the “big ask”
